Mechanic

**General Maintenance for Semi-Trucks, Trailers, and Heavy Equipment**

Midland Contracting Inc., a stable and family-owned heavy highway contractor with decades of experience in the industry, is actively seeking an experienced mechanic/technician to join our dedicated team. We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in general maintenance and light repairs, specifically for semi-trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include servicing rear-end differentials, diagnosing and repairing trailer suspension systems, replacing and maintaining hoses, performing routine lubrication tasks, conducting thorough preventative maintenance checks, and executing other general mechanical repairs as needed. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will ensure that our equipment remains in optimal working condition and aligns with safety standards.

This position entails a willingness to travel across Eastern South Dakota, allowing you to experience varying job sites throughout the year. During the winter months, you will primarily focus on maintenance and repairs in our well-equipped shop located Volga, SD . During spring, summer, and fall, your role will transition into the field, enabling you to engage with diverse tasks and dynamic challenges.
