Job Description
Turner & Townsend are looking for a Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to support a large-scale construction project. The ideal candidate has great communication skills and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies to support data center construction, expansion, and maintenance projects.
- Manage procurement and logistics of servers, networking equipment, power systems, cooling units, and other critical infrastructure components.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to align supply chain activities with project timelines.
- Oversee global and regional logistics, including customs compliance, freight forwarding, and last-mile delivery to data center sites.
- Establish and maintain relationships with OEMs, distributors, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
- Monitor inventory levels across warehouses and staging areas to ensure availability and minimize downtime.
- Implement supply chain risk mitigation strategies, including alternative sourcing and contingency planning.
- Utilize ERP and DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) systems to track assets and optimize workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement across supply chain tools and processes.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of applicable experience
- Strong experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Prior people management experience
- Proven track record of successful procurement and supply chain oversight
- Detail oriented with the ability to work with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to investigate complex issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Passion for creating innovative approaches to solve abstract business problems.
- Ability to infer realistic business and supply chain implications from data and model results.
- Advanced skills with spreadsheets, charts, and presentations.
- Excellent communication skills
