Title: Histologist

• Facility: Mease Countryside
• Location: Safety Harbor, FL
• Status: Full Time
• Shift Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Weekend Work: None
• On Call: No

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all phases of tissue processing from fixation to final slide including special stains and techniques
• Maintains all files, records, and documentation required by state and federal licensing boards
• Cleans and maintains equipment and instruments
• Stocks and maintains supplies
• Must possess interpersonal and customer service skills
• Demonstrates organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills
• Works both independently and with a team
• Possess computer skills appropriate to position
• Uses and understands medical terminology
• Performs other duties as assigned

Certification & Licensure:

• Required - Histology
• Preferred - ASCP

Education:

• Required - High School of Equivalent
• Preferred - Technical Degree in Histotechnology
• Preferred - Associates in Related Field

Experience:

• Preferred - 1 Year Laboratory Related
