Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Office Coordinator in the Cancer Treatment Center at our facility you will be joining a team that strives to provide the very best patient care and compassionate customer service to every person they interact with. They also support one another and make it their motto to “care like family”. In this role:

  • You will perform and demonstrate proficiency in a variety of routine and complex clerical procedures that support and enhance the flow of operations of the Cancer Treatment Center.
  • You will provide clerical support and scheduling for patients and the Medical Oncologist.
  • You will greet and make rapid determination of each patient/family member, physician, or visitor's needs.
  • You will accurately and completely obtain all medical information needed for the Medical Record, getting consent and all insurance information required for hospital registration and billing.
  • You will contact insurance carriers, Medicare, and Medicaid for pre-certification and authorization of coverage for the different types of treatment specific to each patient.
  • You will schedule patient appointments, department meetings, and provide general secretarial support for the department.
  • You will assist with ordering supplies, office equipment, and other items for the department
What qualifications you will need:
  • Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience with 2+ years in a customer interaction role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of patient registration practices.
  • Effective interpersonal and patient contact skills.
  • Willingness to learn, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail. Self motivator
