Expanding law office seeking Legal Assistant to become a part of our Homeowner Assistance Division team! You will oversee a pipeline of clients acting as the liaison between homeowner and opposing counsel or mortgage servicer in various Loss Mitigation programs.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze required documented to submit to mortgage servicer
• Calculate weekly, monthly and annual income and compare to housing expenses
• Regular communication with clients, mortgage servicers, investors and attorneys by phone and email
• Monitor and ensure compliance with Florida Bar regulations
• Record and store client information
• Monitor foreclosure dockets and work with Paralegal and attorneys overseeing the legal files

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
• Familiarity with legal research and Loss Mitigation services, (Loan Modification, Short Sale, Deed in Lieu, ect.)
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish)
