As part of our exciting journey, we collaborate with departments to strategize and implement IT and data solutions that support fair, affordable program services. As a Portfolio Specialist with OTSIs Portfolio Delivery Support Divisions (PDS) Enterprise Solution Alignment Support (ESAS) Unit, youll have the opportunity to:
  • Act as a strategic advisor, offering project support services and overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of IT Projects and Services for CalHHS departments and offices.
  • Drive project planning forward while ensuring it aligns with CalHHS Agency and Statewide requirements, focusing on identifying and mitigating project risks.
  • Conduct analyses and impact assessments of project performance, working closely with department project teams to review Project Status Reports (PSRs), Independent Project Oversight Reports, and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Reports. Youll propose recommendations to OTSI leadership on effective IT project risk and issue mitigation strategies.
  • Take charge of assigned work related to monthly reporting and help develop, implement, and maintain a framework to monitor the health of the CalHHS IT Project Portfolio.

Portfolio Oversight Experience - Proven ability to develop and implement oversight frameworks, monitor IT project portfolio health, and prepare detailed reports and dashboards for stakeholders. 6. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement - Experience working with cross-functional teams and engaging with stakeholders to align IT solutions with business objectives. 7. Process Improvement Expertise - Capability to design and implement process improvements and automation tools to enhance portfolio oversight and reporting efficiency. 8. Training and Documentation Skills - Experience creating and delivering training materials and maintaining comprehensive documentation for continuity and compliance. 9. Policy Assessment and Compliance - Ability to evaluate new IT policies and their impact on operations, ensuring appropriate communication and adherence across departments. 10.
