Duties As a Lead Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will:
  • Proe oversight of Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) reviews. Ensure that SA&A work and related activities are assigned andpleted in accordance with Fiscal Service s SA&A procedures, FISMA and NIST gance. Review work of other team members to confirm accuracy, thoroughness, and regulatory policypliance.
  • Participate in the conduct of studies and plans relating to hardware, software, and telmunications implementation and installation to ensure proper security controls are rmended and the development of security standards and procedures for Fiscal Service.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluates operating programs, practices, procedures, use of equipment and telmunications in accordance with established SA&A processes; Makes rmendations to enhance operations and system security.
  • Articulate andmunicate to the team the assignments, projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames forpletion.
  • Lead the team in:entifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization; making adjustments to aplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely aplishment of assigned team tasks.
Requirements Conditions of Employment
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Must successfullyplete a background investigation. Periodic reinvestigation is required no later than five years after selection and at least every succeeding five years.
  • Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
  • Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
  • Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
  • If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.

  • Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
  • This position requires that the successful canate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into Continuous Vetting. Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one s employment with Treasury. The successful canate will also be enrolled into FBI s Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled indiuals in near real-time. Qualifications You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is conered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13: Specialized experience for the GS-13 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the canate with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes experience in at least THREE of the following:
  • Evaluating IT internal controls; AND
  • Evaluating IT operating and security practices; AND
  • Preparation and review of IT audit andpliance documents; AND
  • Conducting and analyzing vulnerability assessments ofputerworks and information systems.
AND In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must have proficiency in each of the fourpetencies listed below. Attention to Detail, such as evaluating security testing results for accuracy and impact. Customer Service, such as working with customers to ensure security requirements are addressed. Oral Communications, such as furnishing technical assistance and advice to co-workers and customers.
