Pay Range: $18.15- $20.00

SUMMARY

Earn acceptance into Price Chopper Commercial Driver Training Program. Accepted trainees will be given a program of study based on a review of their current skills and abilities. Level of entry into the Price Chopper Driver Trainer Program is determined by your assessed experience and specific background. All Trainees will be placed at a level in the program that will best prepare them to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL -A). Candidates will be trained on all aspects of fleet driving & maintenance operations required of a driver. Candidates will be required to work as Fuelers, Jockeys and Driver Trainees as determined by the Safety Supervisor & Transportation Superintendent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned.

Warehouse selector

Operate tractor-trailer truck in accordance with all federal, state and local requirements.

Follow instructor guidelines during training sessions.

Participate in Classroom & Closed Course driver training

Follow Driver Trainer instructions during all training sessions

Fuel Tractors & Trailers as assigned

Jockey Trailers as assigned

Adhere to all safety policies, procedures and best practices while performing tasks in a manner that promotes safety at all times.

Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 19 years of age.

Possess a valid NYS drivers license

Be able to pass DOT Physical requirements for acceptance into program

Acceptable driving abstract
