Position: Quality Technician II

Location: Hickory, NC

Wage: $24.21

Shift: 7am – 7pm; rotating day shift

While reporting to the Department Manager as the Quality Technician, you will be responsible for performing all specific functions of the Quality Assurance Technician as outlined below.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assists with day-to-day investigations into potential quality issues (quality near-misses, specification, and testing issues & others)
• Enters and maintains records for generating customer credits.
• Performs R&D testing as requested.
• Performs special seal strength testing for selected customers.
• Maintains QA Hold areas in proper clean and controlled conditions.
• Maintains sample and color file room in proper clean and controlled condition including cleanout of obsolete files.
• Performs care of and weekly maintenance calibrations on GC equipment
• Coordinates collection, testing and approval of bulk solvent deliveries.
• Collects and delivers required customer order samples to customer service representatives.
• Reviews & maintains QC Lab files in orderly condition.
• Reviews and coordinates QC Food Safety inspection requirements
• Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of printing including a basic knowledge of graphics and plate technology.
• Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of thepany’s ERP system.
• Obtain and maintain a general knowledge of departmental procedures.
• Obtain and maintain general working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Receive training, retain general knowledge to practice, andmunicate proper Food Safety procedures and requirements.
• Function as a product quality advocate and liaison between all departments.
• Adhere to and work inpliance with all federal, state, local andpany policies and regulations related to Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
• Assist in the coordination of lab testing projects.
• Ability to multi-task and use initiative and judgment to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects and duties and demands in Manufacturing, Quality, and other areas.
• Make determinations on quality and accuracy of work where accuracy is critical and errors would be costly and result in lost production, materials, revenue, and customer goodwill.
• Exhibit a high degree of professionalism in contact with all phases ofpany-e operations, customers, suppliers, governmental agents, and technical representatives

• Two-year Associate degree in a science or manufacturing field required.
• Must maintain a remarkably close attention to detail in all aspects of a quality-driven environment.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
