Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position Under general supervision, the Unit Secretary provides clerical support to the nursing unit. As a member of the nursing unit, the Unit Secretary conducts themselves to promote an organized and positive culture on the unit. Essential Job Functions

• Assemble and maintain patient charts
• Answer telephones
• Manages nurse call system
• Provide routine approved information
• Relay calls and messages as needed
